The Lagos state police command has served a two-week quit notice to over 50 serving members of the command to vacate their residential quarters located at Oduduwa Crescent, Ikeja.

This comes on the heels of a massive demolition excercise during which shanties, illegal structures, bukas, shops, business centres, drinking places among others were pulled down by the command’s Police Provost Marshall.

The quit notice with ref. No. CH: 7970/LS/SPM/VOL.T dated 16 October, 2012 and signed by CSP Mohammed Kamal, gave the officers and men and their families up to 29 October 2012 to vacate or “your continued stay will be therfore regarded illegal. Failure to comply with this directive will entail disciplinary action will be taken against you and forceful ejection. You are warned,” reads part of the quit notice.
