Poland Wrestler Floors Nigeria’s Oborududu

Team Nigeria Wednesday afternoon continued with their poor performance at the London 2012 Olympic Games, when female wrestler,

Blessing Oborududu was defeated 3-0 by Monika Michalik of Poland in the 63kg women’s freestyle wrestling event.

Michalik won both rounds and went to the semi final stage as an overwhelming favorite in the battle.

Both athletes had bye in the first round, but Michalik, who wrestled with great calmness overcame Oborududu.

Michalik won the first round 2-0, the second almost to the end remained 0-0, but then made a Polka share, for which earned her three points.

Oborodudu had no time to answer till the bell rang, leaving the Nigerian contingent to continue the search for their first medal at London 2012 Olympics.

In the other fights, Yuliya Ostapchuk of Ukraine beat Marianna Sastin of Hungary 3-0. Also, Russia’s Lubov Volosova defeated Katerina Vidiaux Lopez of Cuba 3-1,

Jing Ruixue of China beat Un Gyong Choe of North Korea 3-1, while Anastasija Grigorjeva of Latvia defeated Elena Sergey Pirozhkov of USA 3-1.
