Ogun Pupils Write Entrance Exam

Primary school pupils in Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria will sit for the Common Entrance Examination across the 20 local government areas of  the state today.

The examination was earlier scheduled to hold last Friday but was postponed by the state government till today.

The state Commissioner for Education, Barrister Segun Odubela, disclosed that half of the candidates will sit for the examination in secondary schools with boarding facilities.

Speaking with our correspondent this morning, the commissioner disclosed: “I can confirm to you that 15,000 pupils will sit for the common entrance examination today in our secondary schools with boarding facilities across the state.”

Odubela assured the pupils of the state government’s commitment to provide sound and qualitative education to them.

P.M.NEWS gathered from an official from the state ministry of education that at least15, 000 pupils will sit for the examination this morning in more than the 27 secondary schools in the state.

According to the source, “we have over 15,000 pupils who will write the common entrance examination this morning in various secondary schools all over the 20 local government areas of the state.

“The ministry is 100 per cent ready for them and all the necessary materials for the examination have been provided by the government.”
