The race was not near being a close one.It was a horse versus antelopes. And the outcome of such a race is predictable.
Adams Oshiomhole of the Action Congress of Nigeria,just galloped away, leaving the rest of the field panting behind.
Incumbent Governor Oshiomhole has won his re-election by a landslide igniting jubilation in his state.
In all the 18 local councils, he led the race in all, by very wide margin, except in Igueben and Esan West local councils, where the PDP had a strong showing. But it still fell short, losing by 6758 to ACN’s 9,715 in Igueben. In Esan West, the result was a cheek and jowl affair: PDP 13,282, ACN: 13,499. Elsewhere, what the PDP got was an electoral annihilation.
