Mosco To Be Buried 12 April

Friends of the late music icon, Harry Mosco Agada who died on the 21 March 2012 in Egypt have set plans rolling for a big Service of Songs in Lagos in honour of their late colleague and friend.

The Service of Songs is billed to take place at the Household of God Church in Oregun area of Lagos today, Thursday at 6pm. To lead in the service will be the Pastor of Household of God Church, a significant person in the arts and friend to the late Harry, Pastor Chris Okotie.

The event to be coordinated by the Chairman of Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), Chief Tony Okoroji and ace broadcaster and entertainer, Mr. Patrick Doyle, Expected at the event are family members, members of COSON and top Nigerian artistes, friends and fans of the late Harry to pay their last respects to the man who wowed many with his sonorous voice and unique style of entertainment.

Speaking, Chief Okoroji said, “Harry Mosco was a good colleague, it is a priviledge for Pastor Okotie, Patrick Doyle and me to host this service in honour of a great Nigerian music star. We will truly miss Harry and we want to celebrate his life in the best way we can because he deserves it.”

Harry Mosco until his death was a frontline member of COSON and was pivotal to the development of the society and the music profession in Nigeria. After the Service of Songs, his body will embark on the final journey to his hometown in Egede, Udi Local Government Area in Enugu State where a Christian wake keeping will be held in his honour on Wednesday 11 April in his family compound. He will be buried on Thursday 12 April at the same venue.

Harry Mosco will be remembered for his ever green hits like Happy Birthday and Country Boy. While we may be unable to bring back the dead, we will go all the way to celebrate a fallen star. Harry will be missed beyond words but we are comforted by the legacy he left behind.
