Preparatory to dropping a second album, Iyanya Mbuk, has released a music video for his recent single Kukere.
The music video showcases cultural dance from the South South, among the Calabar/Akwa Ibom indigenes.
He’s at the forefront of promoting the Etighi dance, an art form that has now gone viral since he released his Etighi-themed video.
The video was shot in Lagos and Calabar where Iyanya grew up and started his music career. It was directed by Patrick Ellis and produced by Detunes. The video also has guest artiste appearances like Sexy Steel and Baba Dee, among other young artistes.
The singer would be dropping his second album in a matter of months. Although his management is yet to disclose full details, Showbiz Trends learnt that the album will feature top artistes on the Nigerian music scene.
Since his leap into fame by winning the maiden edition of the MTN Project Fame West Africa in 2008, and the release of his debut album My Story, Iyanya has continued to prove his worth.
Iyanya has worked with top Nigerian artistes like MI, DJ Zeez, Faze and major producers in the industry like TY Mix, Cobhams, ID Cabasa, OJB and Wazz Beats among others.
