SevenSeries Production has announced the arrival of the series producer and director, Quinty Pillay and Denny Miller from South Africa for Emerald, a new TV drama series.
A statement by Oladapo Ojo, Group Managing Director, DM Holdings, the owners of SevenSeries Productions, revealed that the duo of Pillay and Miller will be teaming up with other indigenous professionals such as Femi Odugbemi to deliver a high quality production that will redefine the Nigerian television content landscape, especially in the area of drama.
“Our decision to bring in these highly experienced international professionals to work on Emerald, is based on our desire to give Nigerians a truly world-class TV drama series with international flavour as well as serve as a platform for training and retraining our people in the art of making globally acceptable TV drama series. And we will spare no expense in achieving this objective,” Ojo said.
Pillay, the series Producer, is an accomplished, self-motivated and high detail-oriented production professional, with 30 years experience in the film and television industry in South Africa and Nigeria.
Miller, on his part, has 19 years experience in television production. He is one of the most experienced directors in the TV business.
Miller’s career has taken him through the whole gamut of television production: from floor manager, production secretary, production manager to director on various soaps and reality TV shows aired across Africa.
The series will hit the screen by the middle of this year.
