Months after she wowed fans with her deep storyline in Igbo Dudu, Yewande Awokoya is back with another movie, Omo Elemoso.

According to the Babcock Mass Communications graduate, “My movies sell our culture and Omo Elemosho is not different.”

In Omo Elemosho, an aged woman called Asake comes crying to Ero’s shrine. She says her only daughter, Tanwa has been missing for two months and all efforts to find her has been abortive.

She says if Tanwa is not found within the next 30 days she will be confirmed a witch and beheaded, according to the tradition of the land.

She pleads with Ero to find her daughter and bring her back home since her daughter is all she’s got after her husband’s death. She says if Ero is unable to bring her home in 30 days, she would take her own life before the king does.

Ero who has her own limitations sets out in search of Tanwa disguised as a human. The search for Tanwa brings Ero to the city. The deity’s journey into modern civilization is filled with challenges and a lot of setbacks. Was Ero able to bring Tanwa home or was Tanwa destined by the gods to die young? What becomes of Asake in Ijagba town where witchcraft is not condoned?

The movie is directed by Bayo Tijani and has Yomi Fash Lanso, Muyiwa Ademola, Bimbo Oshin, Toyin Aimakhu, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Seyi Ashekun, Lanre Hassan, Fausat Balogun, Afeez Eniola, Yewande Adekoya, Oluwasheyi Ashekun And Folashade Olona as casts.
