Phone Swap, the new movie from the stable of Kunle Afolayan is ready with a grand premiere slated for 17 March, 2012 at the Expo Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.

The Abuja premiere will later hold on 24 March in Abuja before the train finally moves to Accra, Ghana on 5 April, 2012.

With Phone Swap due for release this year, Kunle is a man to watch as he builds on the success he’s achieved in recent years.

Son of late renowned film maker, Adeyemi Afolayan, a.k.a. Ade Love, the younger Afolayan started out as a banker. He had been taking some casual movie roles while working in the bank before he delved into movie full time. His role in Tunde Kelani’s acclaimed work, Saworoide, gave him his first break as an actor. He later took to film making in 2005 after completing a course at the New York Film Academy.

Since then, he has made a bold statement with a number of chart-buster flicks like Irapada and The Figurine, which scooped awards in five major categories at the African Film Academy Awards, AMAA.

The film was also screened in a couple of foreign cinemas, a feat only a handful of Nollywood flicks have achieved.
