A 19-year-old security guard, Samuel Ishaku, was on Wednesday remanded in prison by an Ilorin Magistrates’ Court for allegedly raping the six-year-old daughter of his employer.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the accused was arraigned on a one-count charge of procreation of a minor, contrary to section 275 of the penal code law.

The charge sheet said the accused committed the offence on January 16 by locking the victim (name withheld) in one of the toilets in his employer’s house and forcefully having sexual intercourse with her.

The charge sheet also said that the doctor’s report confirmed that the accused had been having regular sexual intercourse with the victim.

“The accused had sexual intercourse with the six-year-old for three consecutive times before he was caught by the victim’s mother, ” it said.
