The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has been urged not not betray the confidence repose in it by Nigerians in their resolve against the removal of fuel subsidy.

Coalition of Oodua Self Determination Groups, COSEG, made this appeal in a statement signed by its chairman and secretary, Dayo Ogunlana and Rasaq Olokooba, respectively.

COSEG further warned Labour not to attend any meeting with the Federal Government until the price of petroleum product is reversed to its original price of N65 per litre.

The group explained that nothing productive will come out of any meeting called by the federal government as it has shown that it is callous, wicked and anti-people. The group called on Nigerians to be steadfast and focused on the ongoing strike and protests going on all over the country.

“We hereby direct all our members to join the peaceful protest in our effort to free the people from captivity. We wholeheartedly rejected the arbitrary decision. It is not only inhuman, but reckless as all organs of the government are set up to protect the people,’’ the group stated.
