Come Friday 23 December, artistes billed to perform at the highly anticipated debut edition of open air concert, Top 10 MICS, have promised that it will be ‘one hell of show’ that would be worth the while for those that will attend the concert.

Organised by entertainment giant, KOGA, the open air mic concert will have 10 of the best artistes in the Nigerian music industry. The ten artistes include, Tuface Idibia, elDee, Wizkid, Duncan Mighty, Sir Shina Peters and Femi Kuti. Others are Abass Obesere, Mocheedah, PSquare and MI.

In separate chats with some of the artistes, they promised to give their all to fun lovers. Fresh from the euphoria of his third Grammy nomination, Afro Beat star, Femi Kuti has promised that the experience will be fantastic. According to widely travelled multi-instrumentalist, contrary to the doubt being expressed by many people about his participation in the show, because of his usual performance at the Afrika Shrine, Femi said: “I will not only be at the show, but give more than a 100 per cent performance. I will be giving those attending a fantastic performance,” the Afro beat star said.

The Okoye Brothers (PSquare) promised a lasting feast for revellers that are expected at the concert. “People should come out and see us perform live. It will be a night of music, power and passion,” the twins said.

The headliner of Chocolate City, M.I also lent a voice saying: “This is the short black boy. I look forward to seeing all there. It promises to be a hell of a party.”

Port Harcourt’s First son, Duncan Mighty said “You think you know how to party? Wait till I bring my Port Harcourt mix on stage at the TBS this friday night.”

Also assuring his fans that will be coming for the show slated for the parade ground of the TBS, Lagos, 2face Idibia said; “I am looking forward to doing something very different on stage at the Top 10 MICs. It is like rounding off the year for me. And I promise that it will be a great night.”

Sir Shina Peters, the Afro Juju creator said: “This will be an opportunity for my fans to watch me perform tracks from my new album. TBS is big and we are coming big at the show.”

Anu Awoseyi, an official of KOGA Entertainment, organisers in a chat with Showbiz Trends said they are ready to stage what will turn out to be “the biggest concert of 2011.”

“All modalities and strategies have been duly mapped out by our team, we promise them the best show come Friday,” she said.
