It’s a year now that Barrister left us, how do you feel?
We still miss him but thank God for a life well spent. His death was a big loss to the music world and I can’t believe he is gone.

Before he died, he appreciated your brand of music, especially your voice and now that he is no more, who steps into his shoes?
That is a good question. On that, I won’t say much because it has been said by Barrister himself that after him, it must be Aare of fuji music, so automatically, I am stepping into his shoes. The testimony is in my new albums entitled Ayinde Lo and Discovery. the first one is dedicated to Alhaji Agba.

Why did it take you so long to release an album in his honour?
I don’t want to rush at it, so I decided to take my time and research very well before singing in memory of such an icon. In fact if any fuji musician can beat my record by singing the praise Barrister, I will give such person a token of N100,000.

When will you release the album?
It will be early next year.
