I think the shoes or position of the late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister will be too big for anybody to wear. This is the submission of another fuji music star, Sulaimon Adio Atawewe, who spoke from the United States of America.

According to him, “we have lost a legend in the country and till date, his vacuum is still there and I think it will be difficult to fill because some things have happened in fuji music industry after Barrister left, which I believe would not have been if he was alive. Well, the likes of General Kollington Ayinla and Wasiu Ayinde are trying to reposition the house and the image of fuji music.

“I pray God to help them and I urge every artiste to support any progressive move to change the face of fuji music in the country.”

He added that his new album was released yesterday, but did not sing his praise because, according to him, he is still doing some research in order to present good music.

Entitled Public Figure, the 13-track album is released by Foursure Music Entertainment owned by him, while it is marketed by a leading marketer in Alaba, Golding Point Investment.

Meanwhile, the album’s listening party is scheduled to hold on 23 December at Eldorado, Ademola Street off Awolowo Road, Ikoyi Lagos.

The event is organised by Ola Muhammed with media support from City People Entertainment, Acada magazine and Global Excellence.

Atawewe, who is expected back in the country on 21 December 2011, added that Public Figure is an album where he dwelt on what is expected of celebrities and leaders as public figures and role models to the younger generation. He said he decided to release the album this month because of his scheduled music tour with some of his band boys.
