Shan George, Freeze, Host Broadcasters' Awards

Popular Nollywood actress, Shan George and; radio personality, Freeze, have been billed to host tomorrow’s Nigerian Broadcasters’ Awards scheduled to hold at the Lagoon Restaurant, Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Veteran thespian, Ambassador Segun Olusola (OFR), has also been announced as the chief host of the much anticipated second edition of the event.

According to Ferdinand Mmadike, spokesperson for the organisers, The Reality Entertainment, “the choice of Freeze was borne out of his current dominance of the airwaves and it is unarguable that Shan George, who majors in Mass Communication, is one the famous faces that cannot be ignored in the Nigerian entertainment industry.”

Among the lined-up programmes that will add glitz and glamour to the yearly event include red carpet reception, live studio broadcast, performances by top rated music stars and humour merchants, among other side attractions.

The organisers said further that the award is designed to celebrate and honour those who have contributed immensely to the development of Nigerian electronic media.

Apart from the competitive categories for the reigning and rising on-air personalities, whose presence cannot be ignored on the airwaves, Lagos State governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola and his Oyo State counterpart, Abiola Ajimobi, alongside Walter Oyatogun, Lekan Ogunbanwo, Mrs. Biola Alabi, Benson Idonije and Amaka Igwe, have been pencilled down for Special Recognition Awards.
