There seems to be no slowing down the fast-growing Nigeria music industry with new talents emerging daily on the scene. Another new act that has joined the fray of upcoming artistes is Olawale Oyenubi, popularly known as Walz.
The new star in the making has finally emerged with a bang with the release of his first album, titled Checkmate. Showbiz Trends learnt that the 23-year-old graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, may sacrifice his petroleum engineering career for a musical pursuit with his debut album consisting of 10 tracks.
Speaking on his musical career, he stated that by nature, he is not cut out for a desk job which will bore him easily, “I am a type who cannot sit in the office for long,†he declared.
Although Walz believes in achievement through education but his passion for music has led him this far and could make him one of the hip-hop stars in town because he is passionate about music.
