Oba of Benin Congratulates Oshiomhole

The Oba of Benin, Omo n’Oba n’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Erediauwa, CFR, has congratulated Governor Adams Oshiomhole on the successes recorded in his three years in government, saying “you have done very well.”

The royal father made the commendation when the governor paid him a courtesy call to present his third anniversary report to him in his palace.

The royal father who also congratulated the governor on the conferment of the award of the Commander of the Order of the Niger on him by President Goodluck Jonathan said “the conferment of the award on you is timely, you deserve it. It is all part of your coming back.’’

Oba Erediauwa noted with delight the various development projects in the state, particularly the renovation of schools and construction of roads, adding, “you have done very well.”

The Benin monarch urged the governor to sustain the pace of development in the state and pledged his continued support and advice to government.

Earlier, Comrade Oshiomhole appreciated the Benin monarch for his advice and support since the inception of his administration.

According to the governor, “as part of efforts to check erosion in Benin City, a N30 billion drainage project has been awarded and is expected to channel flood from Ugbowo axis down to Ogba River.”

Comrade Oshiomhole disclosed that two additional lanes will be added to the existing four lanes to ease traffic congestion in the area.
