The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Prince Ifeanyi Dike, has called on his colleagues and entertainers in Nigeria to support for the governorship ambition of Mr. Ben Murray-Bruce, the chairman of Silverbird Group.

Dike, who returned to Nigeria after a kidney transplant in India recently, said it is necessary for entertainers to support Murray-Bruce considering the immense contribution he has made to the growth of entertainment industry in the country.

Speaking with P.M.Entertainment,  he said “apart from the laudable impact of Ben Murray-Bruce through Silverbird Television, Silverbird Galleria and Rhythm FM radio stations, among others, he also facilitated the $200 million promise made by President Goodluck Jonathan to the entertainment industry.

“Even though the President is yet to redeem the promise, it is still on record that Ben Murray-Bruce was the man that facilitated the move. That means he really has the development of the entertainment sector at heart, so we need to help actualise his dream.”

P.M. Entertainment further gathered that Dike is currently mobilising his colleagues and there are indications that they will embark on a voluntary campaign for the Bayelsa governorship aspirant any moment from now.

Meanwhile, the general election of AGN earlier scheduled to hold this month is likely to be postponed over what the organising committee described as late registration of many aspirants.
