Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, has urged muslims in the state and the country to imbibe good virtues as preached by the Quran.
Ikuforiji made this call during a prayer at the Shonibare praying ground, Maryland, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria today to mark the Eid Mubarak celebration.
The Speaker, who also said the country is in dire need of God’s wisdom to solve the many challenges it is facing now, also urged the citizens of the country to continue to pray for good leadership.
Explaining the significance of the celebration, Ikuforiji maintained that it was a way through which God showed his mercy on Prophet Ibrahim who never questioned God’s authority when he was told to sacrifice his son.
He advised Nigerians to learn from the prophet and continue to enjoy God’s blessings.
