The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Dahiru Musdapher, has approved the appointment of Mallam Muhammad Adamu as his Media Adviser and
Public Affairs Consultant to the Judiciary.
On assumption of office, Justice Musdapher had promised to carry
out reforms in the judiciary and to involve the media as development partners in the all-important task of building a worthy judiciary.
A statement by the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Mr. Sunday Olorundahunsi, said Adamu is expected to lead the implementation of the new CJN’s initiative.
Adamu, a 1987 Graduate of the University of Sokoto (now Usman Dan Fodio University) holds a B. A. Degree in English/ Literature, with 20-year career as a journalist mostly in the stables of the defunct Concord Press of Nigeria, CPN and African Concord Magazine.
Adamu is currently said to be a general media practitioner, private consultant on the legislative process and a Public Affairs Analyst who until this appointment has been a Columnist and member of the Editorial Board of Peoples Daily Newspapers and a contributing Columnist with the Vanguard Newspapers.
