Residents and landlords of Akesan and Obadore in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State have appealed to the state Commissioner of police, Mr. Yakubu Alkali to save them from the menace of armed robbers.

In a statement made available to P.M.NEWS and signed by a community leader, Mr. Taofeek Ayinla, the residents called on the police boss to increase the number of police patrols in the area to stem incessant attacks by men of the underworld.

“For the past three months, we have been put under siege by robbers who attack our communities between 1a.m. and 4 a.m. They dispossess residents of their belongings and injure them.

“It has become a daily occurrence. The attacks are perpetrated by youths brandishing guns and other dangerous weapons and moving from street to street.

“We are appaling to you to deploy RRS and Operation Messa personnel to the area to check the activities of these hoodlums,” he stated.
