'I Wanted To Be A Footballer'

Popular actor, Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Baba Latin, has disclosed that his primary ambition was to become a star footballer like the former Green Eagles’ captain, Chief Segun Odegbami, who he described as a source of inspiration. He made the disclosure during a radio programme, Lagbo Video, in Lagos recently.

According to him, he was supposed to be a footballer, adding, “my ambition was to be a star footballer like Segun Odegbami, who I admired to a fault and to the extent that I inscribed his jersey Number 7 on virtually all my dresses.”

The Gbongan, Osun State-born Latin revealed that he started a career in acting in 1988 in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, where he lived all his life.
