Obey Environmental Sanitation Laws, KAI Boss Warns Traders

The Kick Against Indiscipline, KAI Brigade Mashal General, Captain Danjuma Maigeri (retd), has again warned street traders contravening laws environmental laws to have a rethink and stop displaying their wares on the drainages, walkways and in traffic on the highways, saying that anyone caught would be prosecuted.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS on the purported protest by some youths claiming to be association of street traders in Lagos State who, last week, went to the Lagos State Television house, Alausa, to allegedly register their grievances over the way they were being arrested by KAI officials along the highways and Maryland. Captain Maigeri described the protest as the height of indiscipline and ignorance on the part of the traders, still operating on the streets and highways in Lagos State, of the laws against environmental nuisances. He said intimidation and propagada will not stop KAI officials from enforcing the environmental laws.

There is no responsible government any where in the world that would allow its environment to be degraded with sentiments and propaganda.
