There was pandemonium near Anthony Village campus of LASU at about 4.35pm on Monday when suspected armed robbers on three motorcycle (okada) traced a motorist to the area, shot the owner dead and made away with some cash, phones and other personal items.

P.M.NEWS learnt from sources at Idiroko bus stop near the scene of the attack that the robbers may have traced the unidentified owner of a black Toyota Corrola car from a bank, as he was alleged to have been shot dead at close range.

People in the area were said to have fled for their dear lives while the shooting was going on.

According to our sources, the six-member robbery gang, operating on three motorcycles with two persons on each bike allegedly shot into the air initially to scare away people near LASU campus and it environs before shooting the man.

Attempt to confirm the incident from Samuel Jinadu via phone call was futile as his phone was switched off.

However, a police source at Anthony Police Station in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria told our reporter that the station is aware of the incident and has in fact commenced investigations into the killing of the motorist.
