The Lagos state police command has placed all its officers on red alert following the bomb explosions that rocked Police headquarters in Abuja today
Our reporter, who was at the Lagos state police command headquarters in Ikeja GRA, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, observed that all
the visitors to the command as well as motorists were thoroughly checked by MOPOLs and anti-terrorism squad deployed to various entry and exit
points at the command.
Visitors and motorists were thoroughly checked with anti-bomb devices at the Oba Akinjobi, PWD Area F entry points by the officers before being allowed
to enter the premises of the command.
P.M.NEWS also observed that commercial motorcycle operators, popularly known as okada riders were stopped from getting near the state police command, while petty traders who sell alcohol and other drinks were temporarily banned and ordered to close shop immediately.
A senior police officer told our reporter that the Lagos state Police Commissioner, Yakubu Alkali, summoned the commissioner in charge of anti-
terrorism unit of the Nigeria Police Force for a crucial meeting at the command headquarters after the incident in Abuja.
The meeting, according to our source, who pleaded not to be named, was to map out the best way to forestall a similar incident from occurring in Lagos, the

Samuel Jinadu, Lagos state police spokesman, while commenting on the deployment of more officers to the command headquarters, assured Lagosians to go
about their normal businesses as Lagos is safe from the activities of terrorists.
