The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has called for a review of the National Youth Service Corps scheme in order to protect the lives of young Nigerians and save them from senseless killings.

Making this call at the end of the 3rd council meeting of the Ijesa North Missionary Diocese at St. Peter’s Church, Okenisa Ijebu-Jesa, Osun State, the Anglican clerics condemned the widespread post election violence in some parts of the country and prayed that God will Condole all those who lost their loved ones in the crisis, especially members of the NYSC who were cruelly murdered.

In their communique signed by Reverend Titus Fajemirokun, the diocesan bishop, the clerics commended Professor Attahiru Jega and members of INEC for conducting the April general elections creditably.
