Mozambique’s Michael has been evicted from the Mnet’s Big Brother Amplified House.

At a tense live show on Sunday, 29 May, Michael became the fourth housemate to be sent packing from the show this season. He joined Namibia’s Jossy, the season’s first evictee, Tanzania’s Lotus Kiyamba, who was disqualified from the competition for violence, against fellow housemate and South Africa’s Nkuli.

About an hour before the eviction, Michael, often seen as the biggest flirt in the house, had once joked: “I’m really nervous. When I’m evicted, I hope Sharon’s boyfriend will not be waiting for me outside.”

Known as the Don Juan of the House, Michael had entertained himself by flirting with every woman in the House.

The nervous Housemates had all gathered in the lounge and Head of House, Vimbai, was asked to reveal whom she had saved. The candid Zimbabwean Housemate took a deep breath and revealed she had saved Hanni and put Michael in her place.

Hanni sat back quietly when she heard the news and then tearfully hugged Vimbai. But Michael looked calm after hearing the news.

When Bernadina was asked to leave the House, she wept. The gang escorted her to the big eviction doors, with Nigeria’s Vina wiping away a few of her own tears. After a very short interview on stage, the Namibian diva was herded off to the Tails House and when she saw the Tails gang she screamed, “I knew there was another House!”

A sensational performance by Cabo Snoop and Michael’s fate was confirmed. IK, the show’s host, asked Michael to join him on stage. He immediately revealed that Michael had been evicted from the Big Brother Amplified, based on votes.

“Are you okay? IK asked. “Ya, I’m cool,” said the Mozambican adding however that, “I’ll miss the boys and Sharon O a lot,” he said.

Meanwhile, the result of how Africa voted last week to save their favourite Housemates was released.

The Housemates, who received the most country votes were Nigeria’s Vina and Sharon O. They were sent back to the Heads House. However, there was a three-way tie for last place. Confidence, Bernadina and Michael received one country vote each.

For this reason, the tie-breaking mechanism was used. On a percentage basis, Confidence was returned to the Heads House, Bernadina went to Tails and Michael was evicted.

Vina had six country votes to save her neck from eviction- Angola, Ethiopia, Botswana, Nigeria, South Africa and the Rest of Africa (27.8%), Sharon O: six country votes – Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe (22.7%), Confidence: one country vote – Ghana (19.3%), Bernadina: one country vote – Namibia (17.3%), Michael: one country vote – Mozambique (12.6%)
