Ben TV London will for the first time in Nigeria, present a talent hunt show in music and comedy.
Tagged Battle of Talents, the programme is a youth empowerment initiative, tailored and specifically designed for the furtherance and well-being of the young adult as well as promotion and championing of anything and everything positive about Nigeria.
Promising a never-before-seen-on-TV format, the aim of the 13-week show is also to discover the best new stars in music and comedy, who through this platform will rise to international stardom.
“There are millions of talented young people in Nigeria who are helpless and crave for a platform to express themselves,†said Emmanuel Peters, Ben TV’s Country Representative, adding, “so, in my opinion, talent hunt shows should be held everyday to give these young people a voice. That is why this maiden season of the show has been themed This is your time.â€
Peters said that the show will be in three categories—Single Act, Double Act and Group Act, while nationwide audition to select the main contestants will take place in seven zones, Lagos, Benin, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Kaduna and Abuja.
At the end of the show, the music winner will get a one-year recording deal with a UK-based music label, while the comedy winner receives a one-year contract to host.
