Richie-Richie, a new flick from the stable of Bayo Alawiye’s Vision Eight, will be premiered this Saturday and Sunday at the Lagos State Television premises.

And from Friday next week, the train will move to other places like Ibadan, Ile-Ife and Abeokuta.

In a chat with NollywoodReel, Alawiye said he will thereafter take Richie-Richie on tour of major cities and cinemas before being released as home video.

The film, which parades stars like Jide Kosoko, Adebayo Salami, Laide Bakare, Gabriel Afolayan and Madonna Robinson of Project Fame West Africa, is being tipped as a chartbuster, considering the success of other films previously directed by Alawiye.

Since he ventured into movie production in 2006, Alawiye has produced and played lead roles in a couple of films, including Ija Okan, Ala’Mi, Ibare and Demilade, among others.

In Richie-Richie, Richard, an orphan, is a young, rich and outgoing man from Plateau State, while Bisi is the daughter of a chief who is preparing to become a deacon in his church soon.

Bisi becomes pregnant for Richard after a ‘one night stand,’

thereby thwarting Chief Williams’ dream of becoming a deacon and as a result, asks Richard, the playboy, to marry his daughter within one week.

The enforced honeymoon after the wedding becomes a turning point for both Richard and Bisi and all that are connected to the couple.

This is a love story from other points of view.
