Son of a petitioner, Ojo Kayode has told an Agege Grade ‘A’ Customary Court, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria that his father is a difficult man and does not listen to anybody.

Kayode disclosed this when he was responding to his father’s continuous absence from court despite several invitations.

His father, Mr. Michael Ojo, has refused to show up in court since his mother filed a petition for dissolution of their marriage.

On ways to resolve the rift between his parents, Kayode said his father would not listen to anybody, adding that members of the family had tried their best to resolve the dispute but to no avail.

In her petition before the court, Kayode’s mother, Mrs. Mary Michael, accused her estranged husband of threatening her life and her children.

“He was always threatening my life and the children. I have no peace of mind. He is troublesome and I am fed up living with him,” she stated in her petition.

He warned that he would not hesitate to send him to prison if he continues to disregard court’s summon.

The matter has been adjourned till 24 May, 2011 for continuation of trial.
