Market Leaders Set Agenda For Fashola

Market leaders in Pelewura and the entire Lagos Island under the leadership of the Babaloja General, Chief Tajudeen Onimole have set an agenda for Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola and his yet-to-be-assembled cabinet.

They congratulated the governor, his new deputy and members of the upper and lower chambers of the National assembly over their electoral victories in the state and urged the entire Yoruba to promote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Asiwaju of Yoruba people for showing rare courage and regaining for us our lost glory.

Onimole said that the outcome of the elections, especially in Lagos State where Fashola defeated his rivals with a wide margin is a clear indication that one good turn deserves another.’

He advised the governor to be more focused especially on party programmes and not to be distracted by sycophants.

The first thing Fashola should do, Onimole said, is to reach out to his rivals, both within and outside the party for reconciliation, so as to ensure stable polity in the state. This will heal the wound created by the post-election crisis.

Lagosians, he added, especially traders, want more dividends of democracy. This will be in the areas of creating more jobs, more markets and less harassments of the market people by the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) officials. The Babaloja said that the declining standard of education needs massive infusion of human and financial capital for development at all levels.
