Handsworth Football Club have started preparation for the Federation Cup.
Handsworth emerged winners of this year’s Ogun State FA Cup having defeated Indomie FC of Sango 5-4 via penalty shootout after a barren draw at regulation time.
Both teams are expected to represent the state at the Federation Cup later in the year.
Handsworth Team Manager, Tajudeen Olasunkanmi, disclosed that the club will play against Sunshine FC of Akure and 3SC FC of Ibadan to keep the players fit ahead of the national tournament.
“The players are hungry for success. They have played big clubs before and are not afraid to meet them again in the Federation Cup.
“We are dreaming to at least, reach the quarter final stage of the national FA Cup, which I believe we can achieve by the Grace of God†he said.
