The much-awaited Boska Soccer Competition will officially kick off on 11 June at the Astro turf of the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

Twenty-eight teams are expected to take part in this year’s edition, which is organised by the Lagos Divisional Football Association, LDFA, and sponsored by Orange Drugs Limited.

Chairman, Organising Committee, Dotun Coker told P.M.Sports that this year’s edition will be exciting as all matches will be played on the Astro turf of the National Stadium.

“We want to improve on Boska Cup every year. We don’t want the teams to play on substandard football pitches anymore. Playing all our matches on the astro turf will bring out the best in the players. It will also attract scouts  and football agents to scout for young players during the tourney,” he said.

Coker disclosed that over 70 clubs have completed their registration and he urged  interested clubs to obtain registration forms before 30 May deadline.

“We are not going to consider any club for late registration because our competition is different from other grassroots football competitions. All teams must follow our rules and regulations,” he warned.
