U-23 Eagles Off To Liberia

The U-23 Eagles, who have been drawn to play Tanzania in the second round of the 2012 Olympic qualifying series, are scheduled to depart the country today aboard an Arik Air flight to Monrovia.

The team would play the opening leg of a 2011 All-African Games qualifying match against Liberia on Saturday at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex. The match is slated for 7pm Liberia time (8pm Nigeria time).

While Coach of the squad, Austin Eguavoen has an eye on this weekend’s cracker against Liberia, he is pleased with the draws for the second round of the football event of the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Nigeria will play against Tanzania according to the draws released by the Confederation of African Football, CAF, yesterday.
