“We were privileged to meet Otunba Jobi Fele through the then Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Togo Ambassador Thomas Agunyi Ironsi, who invited Otunba as a guest to cheer the Nigeria Rugby National Team to victory.

The motivation we got from the ambassador and  Fele at the stadium and in the dressing room before our match spurred us to victory against all odds, as the host, Togo tried all in their powers to ensure we lost the title as the defending champions.

On arrival back in Nigeria, I kept in touch with the ambassador and he encouraged us to contact Otunba Jobi Fele, and recommended us to him for assistance,” he said.
