Gospel singer and the General Overseer of the De House of Royal Mission, Pastor Larry Ovie, will on Sunday play host to top gospel singers including Esese Agesse, Benita Okogie and others at the opening of his new ministry situated at Imola, Iju Road, Agege, Lagos.
Tagged A New Voice In The Land, the programme, which will commence today with a vigil, will be rounded off on Sunday with the dedication featuring the music stars.
Speaking with P.M. Entertainment, Ovie, who recently released a single album entitled Seun Rere, said he decided to come home after about 13 years’ sojourn in the Republic of Ireland, noting that there is no place like home.
He said that he is also using the opportunity of the three-day event to pray for the wellbeing of Nigeria and campaign for political tolerance as Nigerians go to the polls tomorrow.
The pastor said further that apart from the female singers, Ultimate Murphy, Rasta4Jesus and UJ1 will also perform at the occasion.
Ovie, who started the ministry 11 years ago in the Republic of Ireland, was a member of the defunct De Bombers, a two-man group and had two albums, Africa Will Rise Again and Nigeria Is Our Home, to his credit.
