Flying Eagles striker, Stanley Okoro has told 2muchsports.com that he would have been a happier person if he had started his professional career in the English Premier League.

He noted that even before he made his move to the Spanish club, Almeria FC, his desire was to get a club in the glamorous English premier league but lamented that the condition that you have to have put in 80 per cent National team appearance was what discouraged him and had to pitch his tenth with Almeria.

“I love the premiership so much that I had wanted to start my playing career there, but you know that if you do not play 80% with your National you will never be given a professional contract. Otherwise, it is a league I love so much because I believe there playing style suit my style a lot.” He said.

“If I have to goEngland tomorrow, I will prefer Chelsea or Manchester United; these are the two clubs that I will really love to play for in England.” Okoro revealed.

Nevertheless, Okoro who is popularly known as ‘little Messi’ maintained that he is having a very good time with Almeria, especially having Kalu Uche in the team has made his stay there so easy.”Kalu Uche has really helped me so much to settle down on time. He is like a father to me and I really respect him a lot,” he said.

Having been away from the club for about a month, the players said he has the permission of the club to remain until after the Africa Youth Championship.
