Wrestling: Power Lee To Present Heavyweight Belt To Uduaghan

Nigerian Wrestling Board of Control (NWB of C) national heavyweight champion, Godspower Ikpdide Power Lee a.k.a Mr. Peace,  is set to present his title belt  to Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.

Power Lee became the titleholder on 19 December, 2010, when he defeated De Lionman of Anambra State in a wrestling championship staged at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.

Power Lee told P.M.Sports at the Sports City in Lagos that he was excited when he learnt that Governor Uduaghan is interested in hosting the championship  in Asaba next month.

“I am excited to present my belt to the People’s Governor. I have waited till now to have audience with the governor and I know that he will be proud of me having won laurel for the big heart state.

“It is during his time that an indigene of the state became a Nigerian National pro-wrestling heavyweight champion and this is a plus not only to the governor but the entire people of Delta State,” said Power Lee, who started his wrestling career in 1987 as an amateur wrestler and turned professional  in December 1990.

He was trained by the late Captain Abbey City before he joined the camp of Jimmy Palm “The African Dream”.

Power Lee, who was born in Oghwe in Isoko are of Delta State, had his most memorable match against African Mr. Perfect based in South Africa. He had also fought in Ghana.
