The Leicester City FC of England forward disclosed in a chat with P.M.Sportsonline at the team’s Constantial Hotel this afternoon that they are ready to play the visiting Guineans hands down in the match, the first leg of the qualifying series.

He said victory in tomorrow’s match would put them in a comfortable position going into the reverse fixture in a fortnight.

The striker, who plays alongside Super Eagles’ forward, Yakubu Aiyegbeni in Leicester, believes that with the calibre of players in camp, they would rout their opponents.

He said: “There is no going back, victory is ours, we are going into tomorrow’s clash with the aim of beating our opponents. We don’t want to find ourselves in a precarious situation going into the second leg. So, we are condemned to win.”

On the fallout of the Egypt 2009 FIFA World Youth Championship, WYC, where he was part of the U-20 team that failed to make the finals, Uchechi said they wanted to go far in the tourney, but “It’s unfortunate that we were eliminated before the finals.”

Meanwhile, Chief Coach of the team, Austin Eguavoen has called off the team’s training for this afternoon to allow their opponents, Equatorial Guinea have a feel of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
