Coaches Stop Players From Falcons' Camp

Super Falcons Coach, Uche Eucharia has lashed out at domestic football clubs for refusing to release their players for the preparations ahead of the Olympic 2012 qualifier against Namibia and the 2012 FIFA Women World Cup.

The Falcons World Cup camp opened on Sunday, 6 March in Abuja with domestic players arriving the camp in trickles. Uche is however unhappy with the turn-out of players.

“The rules are clear. If you have more than four of your players at the national team, you can ask the football federation to postpone your game.

Thirty players have been invited to the camp with foreign based professionals expected to join soon after.

Nigeria will battle Germany, Canada and France in Group A of the 2011 FIFA World Cup.
