A new Yoruba flick from the stable of Bolaji Fatoki, Owo Ijoba, will be released soon.
The movie was shot on locations around Ifako-Ijaye, a suburb of Lagos, last year but the producer said it has not been released because he didn’t want the production to fall below the standard of good movies.
Owo Ijoba, according to Fatoki, is a blockbuster that will address multiple issues of fraud, greed and other vices, which apparently, are the bane of Nigeria’s progress.
P.M.Entertainment gathered that the much anticipated flick, which will be marketed by Success Films Limited, parades role interpreters like Lizzy Anjorin, Saidi Osupa, Bolaji Basia, Bisola Badmus and Nancy Shuaib.
Others are Aina Gold, Jumoke Eletekete, Sunny Askari, Afiz Abiodun, Damola Olatunji and Don Richard, who also doubles as the director.
The story is woven around the atrocious activities of a military major-general, who, out of greed, denies his subordinates their entitlements.
The controversies generated by his nonchalant attitude are what makes this action movie tick.
