6 To Represent Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA In Spelling Bee Competition

Six students have emerged at Agbado-Oke Odo Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria to represent the council in this year’s Spelling Bee Competition in the state.

They will be competing with other students from other local governments in the state in the competition later in the year.

The winners are Oluyede Abiodun, a student of Meiran Community Senior High School, who came first, while Ewala Faith Ifesowapo of Aboru Senior High School and Oyesanya Mosope of Lagos State Senior High School took second and third position, respectively.

At the primary school level, Olaoye Victor of Amikanle Primary School took the first position and Owolewa Modinat of Ilapo Community Primary School and Obonde Joel of Amikanle Primary School took second and third positions, respectively.

Chairperson of the occasion, Prophetess Esther Okunmuyide congratulated the students for their efforts and urged them to go to the state level and make the LCDA proud.

She noted that the competition has continued to promote healthy rivalry among children in public schools in the state and commended the Lagos State government for creating such an avenue for students to display their skills.

Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA was the winner of the 2010 edition of the Spelling Bee competiton.
