Top Nigerian musicians including 2face Idibia, Adigun Alapomeji a.k.a. 9ice, P-Square and Weird MC, among others, will tomorrow storm Teslim Balgoun Stadium, Lagos, Southwest, Nigeria, for a special show tagged My City Rocks.
The show, according to the organisers, is put together by a group of people and the artistes to support Governor Babatunde Fashola’s re-election bid.
Investigations revealed that despite an alleged threat by the Federal Government to stop the artistes from using the venue, the artistes have vowed to go on with the show, saying “we are ready, nobody can stop the show.â€
On Tuesday, representatives of the performing stars led by Banky W, stormed the Lagos State Government House, Alausa, Ikeja, on a solidarity visit to Governor Fashola.
During the visit, the artistes promised to campaign for the governor and play a special number which has been composed and will be recorded and distributed free in support of Fashola’s re-election bid.
Other artistes on the entourage include Weird MC, Saheed Osupa, Whiz Kid, Sound Sultan, Mo’Chedah, comedian Tunde Adewale a.k.a. TA, among others.
