Striking doctors in government hospitals have been warned to desist from acts that could lead to avoidable deaths and go back to work immediately.

The Primate and Founder of the Holy Michael Church of the Lord, Aladura, Prophet Samuel Olawale Kogberegbe, who condemned the current action of the doctors said they have shown more interest in money than the lives of the people they are expected to save.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS at the prayer mountain on Ori Oke Olorunesan on Isolo-Ejigbo road, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, Kogberegbe said if the striking doctors fail to return to work, the blood of the people who died during the strike will be on their heads.

The prophet who had been on spiritual retreat at the prayer mountain said the wrath of God was on the striking doctors and their counterparts in private medical practice who charged exorbitant fees because public hospitals were not in operation.

The clergyman also warned politicians to avoid bloodshed during the April general elections, adding that God would visit those who shed the blood of the innocent with His wrath.

He charged the government to investigate and bring to book culprits who delight in political assassination, stressing that failure to bring them to book would lead to more of such incidents.

Prophet Kogberegbe will end his annual prayer retreat this weekend when evangelists, leaders and prophets will be ordained from all the branches of the church worldwide.
