Ikeja Ward E Football team will confront Onigbongbo Ward F football team in the final of Arole Inter ward Football Competition tagged Ikeja United Challenge Soccer Tournament slated for 20 March at the Government Technical College, Agidingbin, Ikeja, Lagos
To reach the final stage, Ikeja Ward E defeated Ikeja Ward C 9-8 on penalty shootout after a barren draw in the regulation time, while Onigbongbo Ward F humbled Ojodu Ward E 11-10 on penalty shootout after one goal a piece in the full time.
The third place match between Ikeja Ward C and Ojodu Ward E will hold on Sunday at the Ogba Primary School, Lagos State .
Chairman Organising Committee, Wale Ajala, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the players during and after the matches. He said all the participating wards gave good accounts of themselves throughout the championship.
The championship is sponsored by the chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area, James Abiodun Faleke, who is also an Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN House of Representatives aspirant in Ikeja.
