Driver Stabs Colleague To Death At Port

The police in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, have arrested a tanker driver, Yakubu Mohammed, for allegedly stabbing another driver to death at Apapa Jetty.

The victim, Lateef, whose other name is not known, was said to have had a minor disagreement with Yakubu Mohammed which resulted in a fight during which he was stabbed.

All efforts to save the life of Lateef were unsuccessful  as he died on the way to hospital.

P.M.NEWS gathered that Yakubu Muhammed was promptly arrested and handed over to the police at the State Criminal Investigations Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba where he is currently being detained for questioning.

The corpse of the late Lateef has been moved to a  public mortuary for autopsy.

In the same vein, the police at Makinde Police Station in Oshodi, have arrested Segun Branco for killing a pedestrian, Okwudu Odum, along Church Street, Oshodi.

The suspect, P.M.NEWS learnt, drove his Volkswagen bus marked XS 795 AAA in a dangerous manner and hit Okwudu Odum.

The victim, who was rushed to a nearby hospital, died shortly on arrival at the hospital due to loss of blood.

The corpse of the victim was later moved to a public mortuary for autopsy.

The Lagos State police image maker has advised motorists to always be cautious and watch out for pedestrians so as to avoid accidents on our roads.
