Non-Indigenes Pledge Support For Fashola

As the April general elections approach, non-indigenes residing in Lagos have pledged their support for the re-election of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola.

 

Operating under the aegis of Coalition of Lagos Non-Indigene Communities, CLNIC, they stated: “Governor Fashola unarguably deserves a second term, having performed creditably well, even to the admiration of the opposition.”

 

Their leaders, represented by Dr. C. U. Nwachukwu for the Igbo community; Alhaji Gana Mamman for the Arewa community and Chief Joseph Uzoka and Mr. Frank Akata for the South-South community, after their meeting in Lagos said they have resolved to join hands with the newly elected 2011 Chairman for Fashola Re-election Campaign Rally, Dr. C.U. Nwachukwu, to go to all nooks and crannies in Lagos and canvass for votes for the re-election of Babatunde Raji Fashola of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.

Speaking on behalf of the coalition, Dr. C.U. Nwachukwu, who is also the representative of the South-East traditional rulers in Lagos, said: “I appeal to Ndigbo and all other ethnic nationalists residing in Lagos State to see the re-election bid of Governor Fashola as a challenge and commitment for a better Lagos.”

 

Dr. Nwachukwu urged all and sundry to come out as one for the 17 March rally to galvanise support for Governor Fashola and the Action Congress of  Nigeria.
