Lagos Receives Vehicle For Malaria Prevention

Lagos State Commissioner for Dr Jide Idris has commended Swiss Biostadt Limited, formerly Syngenta Nigeria Limited, for the donation of a new ford vehicle in aid of the state government, roll back malaria (RBM) project.

Idris who gave the commendation today in Lagos while receiving the donation on behalf of the state government, lauded the company for its efforts in the prevention of malaria in the state promising that the vehicle would be used for the purpose it was meant for.

The commissioner explained that malaria prevention in the state should be a collective effort particularly in the face of limited and scarce resources comforting government hence he advised other well meaning corporate organisations to not only emulate the good gesture of Biostadt but to also assist government in the fight against malaria in the state.

He opined that government is committed towards implementation of noble and people-oriented programmes that will bring succour and relief to the generality of the people.

Earlier, the Managing Director of Swiss Biostadt Company Limited, Prince Emma Ajayi explained the his company decided to support and be associated with the state government’s Roll Back Malaria programme and the Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) programme because of the tremendous benefits it will bring to the people.

He expressed the hope that the donation will go a long way in the fight against malaria prevention in the state.
