To further highlight the dangers of smoking, a youth organisation, JCI EKO, will hold its annual seminar, JAYCESS Against Youth Smoking (JAYS) on 16 March.

The workshop, targeted at students of secondary school age, will hold at the Babs Fafunwa Senior Secondary School, Ojodu, Lagos.

Facilitators from the Lagos State Ministry of Health will be on ground to speak to the students, while members of JCI EKO will also train the students on becoming active citizens.

A press statement by the organisers, jointly signed by the President, Akinsola Aladesanmi and the Project Team Leader, Olamide Oladipupo, said the programme is aimed at discouraging smoking among youths, so they can be active citizens.

The project, the organisers added, will be executed every quarter and will go round all the local governments in the state.

Peopled by youthful leaders and entrepreneurs, JCI EKO, is committed to creating positive change in the society.
