When Glo Naija Sings’ Ekeng Bassey Serenaded Lovers

Last Saturday, 19 February, Ekeng Bassey, one of the finalists at the 2010 Glo Naija Sings, an M-net produced music talent hunt, treated lovers to a 2-hour romantic night in a special valentine show tagged LOVE UNCONDITIONAL.

The sold out show was an unforgettable experience as it turned an exciting evening of Music, Comedy and Poetry recitals with a lot of fresh and young talents serenade the guests.

Emma, an up and coming comedian kicked off the night with rib cracking jokes. He paved way for a poet, Leke Aladekoba who poetically introduced the host and star of the night, Ekeng Bassey.

Ekeng, who won many hearts with his outstanding vocal prowess during the Glo Naija Sings where he came up sixth, belched out sweet music for the fun loving guests. He started with the Lighthouse Family’s High, then switched to Gerald Levert’s Made To Love You and the velvet baritone voice singer later wrap it up with Celion Dion’s Because You Love Me.

There was another comedy skit by SLK after which a fast rising R&B singer Reverb got lovers swayed to his love tunes.

Casey, the winner of Glo NaijaSings 2010 was also in the house to show solidarity among other top artistes.

Ekeng Bassey is a singer, song-writer and actor. He featured on Tinsel, an award winning Nigerian Soap Opera produced by M.Net Africa on the season 2 episodes where he played Dayo.

In December 2009, he became the first runner up for The Disciples Talent Hunt. He  made the second position of 7 finalists for The BET Sunday Best (Int’l) and wrapped it with the Glo NaijaSings in 2010 where he was the sixth of 10 finalists.
